Shower-Free Solutions When You’re Short on Time

No time to shower after your sweat session? These tips will keep you looking (and smelling!) fresh!

Mop It Up

This step saves me every time! Spritz an oily hairline with dry shampoo, then flip your head upside down and spray underneath. Massage in, then blast just your hairline and crown with a blow-dryer on high heat. Alterna Bamboo Cleanse Extend Translucent Dry Shampoo Mini ($12, beauty.com) is tiny enough for your gym bag.

Secure Wisely
Moisture + traditional hair elastics = serious hair kinks. Use bobby pins to hold thin hair in a bun. For thicker hair, pull it into a ponytail (off the nape of your neck) and secure with an adjustable elastic ribbon tie, like Sephora Ombre Seamless Hair Ties ($8.50 for six, sephora.com).

De-Raccoon Your Eyes
Almay Makeup Eraser Sticks ($5.50, at drugstores) clean up smeared eye makeup. (In a pinch, lotion will do.) Then swipe on a peachy shadow stick—no brush required. Try Revlon ColorStay Smoky Shadow Stick in Atomic ($9, at drugstores).

Don’t Blush
A subtle post-workout flush is one thing. Neutralize serious splotchiness with mineral powder; try Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder ($34, at Sephora). Make sure your face is dry before applying.

Banish BO
Putting deodorant directly on top of stink is like spraying air freshener on garbage. Instead, absorb your underarm sweat with a towel or panty liner (yes, I’m serious!). Then rub on your antiperspirant.

Spray a little perfume and your ready to go!

Everyone has their own personal style, and athletes are no exception. You can care for both your fitness and your appearance as long as you take the time to make a plan. Enjoy your workout, then enjoy the self confidence that your workout brings to a stylish new you.
